Alan S. Mandel, Partner

Alan Mandel is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois and before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the federal courts of the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Washington University, where he received his A.B. in 1975 and his J.D. in 1978. He is active in many legal organizations, including the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), the American Bar Association, the Lawyers Association of St. Louis and the American Association of Justice. He was president of MATA from 2009 to 2010 and has served on its executive committee for 11 years. He also served, by Supreme Court appointment, on the Region XI Disciplinary Committee of the Missouri Bar. He is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatedSM by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Alan is past-president of the West Point Parents Club and currently sits on the board of St. Louis Charter School.

Andrew L. Mandel, Partner

Andrew Mandel is licensed to practice law in Missouri. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he received his B.A. and his J.D. He has served the legal community in a number of roles, including as a member of MATA’s Board of Governors and the Region XI Disciplinary Committee of the Missouri Bar. He is currently a member of MATA and the American Association of Justice.

Andy was honored in 2010 for his generous support and commitment to the goals of Kid’s Chance, Inc., an organization established to provide scholarships to children of injured workers.

Daniel J. Marsh, Jr., Partner

Daniel J. Marsh is licensed in Missouri and Illinois. He graduated magna cum laude in 1993 with a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he also received his J.D. and appeared on the Dean’s List numerous times. During law school, he was selected to and wrote for the Journal of Dispute Resolution. He belongs to MATA.

Dan has had the privilege of working extensively with the Bosnian community in St. Louis. He employs a Bosnian legal assistant who helps with translation and client meetings.

Away from the office, Dan enjoys watching soccer, dining at different restaurants and traveling.

Michael J. Sudekum

Michael J. Sudekum is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. Mike has worked at the firm since obtaining his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Prior to law school, he attended Saint Louis University, where he received his B.S. in Political Science cum laude. He has been named a Rising Star by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers. He is currently serving on the Discovery Committee of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for MDL 2100 In Re: Yaz and Yasmin.

Mike is involved in a number of professional organizations, including MATA (Board of Governors, 2010 to present), the Young Lawyer Council of the Missouri Bar (2007 to 2009; YLS Chairperson’s Award 2009), the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the American Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Region XI Disciplinary Committee for the Missouri Bar.

Outside his daily law practice, Mike volunteers in a number of community organizations. He enjoys spending time outdoors in his free time.

Annette K. Mandel

Annette Mandel is a member of the Missouri Bar and a 1978 graduate of Washington University School of Law. She received a B.A. from Knox College and also attended Northwestern University. She served as Creve Coeur Mayor from 1997 to 2003 and has a wide range of experience working in a variety companies, including a public relations firm, the Urban Land Institute, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and the Pacific Urban Studies and Planning Program.

Annette has served on various boards and commissions. She has also published legal articles on land use and zoning.

Bryan J. Sanger

Bryan Sanger was born and raised in the St. Louis area. After receiving a degree in Public Management from Indiana University, he returned home and attended St. Louis University’s School of Law.

Bryan joined Mandel & Mandel after leaving the Circuit Attorney’s Office in the City of St. Louis. He was elected by his peers to serve as a 9th District Representative to the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Missouri Bar. He was also selected to become a charter member of the Theodore McMillian Inns of Court at SLU’s School of Law.
